So this is my second week in Melbourne and i love this little city. The people are so friendly and hobo artsy dressed. The city is simple to navigate around as it is all straight roads with seedy alley lanes filled with cafes and local designer wear stuff.

For the past week i have been house-hunting after work and it has been so fucken exhausting. At a few house inspection i was so grumpy when 50 year old guys will greet me and i will freak out i be raped and murdered. One advice, dont look up share-houses on realestate.com because you tend to get old old people lying about there fun-young-loving place. Well at least i got some good news, i found a place in South Yarra (10 min train ride to city) and i be share-housing with an 24 yr old guy who works in IT. I will move in at the end of Feb so i can save two weeks of rent.

I went to the GHD graduate pub crawl last night and Melbourne bars are better then Sydney bars. I dig the whole open-roof top concept. It was very relaxing and nice to chill-out with all the drunk grads as most of them are uber-serious and quiet at work. My first two weeks at work has been good fun, i am involved in the Victoria Desalination plant so i have plenty of work to do on the water quality side. I might be going to South Australia next week for 2 day for work related stuff, yay. I got paid yesterday and i almost cried when i saw the tax amount.

Hiya peoples. I thought i give a new year update. Anyway since leaving Sydney Water i have been relaxing and it feels uber great. I have been catching up with friends, spending most of my money on eating and watched all the summers movies i wished to watch. This includes Enchanted: childish but funny, Golden Compass: boring but CG was cool, I am legend: ok-ish but fun to watch.

My new year eve was spent partying at Ronalds who lives in Waverton. The view was just awesome and it was very nice to relax and chill out to the end of 2007. I think 2007 was an interesting year and i look forward to 2008, i hope i can complete my new year resolutions.

I am still organizing my quotations for the relocations of my goods and i am aiming to get it all sorted out by next week cause its giving me a headache. I got two more weeks of freedom before i work my ass off at GHD but i am looking forward to engineering consulting work and Melbourne.

Anyway, i have a few things i want to do before i fly out, this includes Sydney Uni, "PawPaw",Surf. haha. Ciao for now.

Cairns Photo Whores

I went to Cairns for a week for my graduation holiday. It was a blast of fun fun fun. The whole trip went smooth but it was tiring with the line up of activities including, white water rafting, kayaking, two day of diving at Great Barrier Reef, rain forest trekking and shopping.

To my surprise Cairns has so many Japanese people, omg all the jap girls are cute and tanned and the jap guys are uber cool and tanned. While on board on the diving ship i met this jap guy called Jin who was a computer engineer but decided to quit his job, and work on board to have fun and dive all day long.

Highlights from the trip include first time diving but my ears were hurting like mad from the pressure drop, white water rafting where my team was paired up with a German guy who had a cool name called Wolfgang and being stuck on a rock while racing in my team Nemo kayak with Jane haha. Lots of photo ahead.

Moving Again

Well im back from Cairns which i update next time. Anyway i give an update about my plans for next year. I have decided to move down to Melbourne next year as i have been offered a graduate job to do engineering consulting with a company called GHD. I be working along the Victoria desalination project and i officially resign from Sydney Water before christmas starts.

I commence work early feb and luckily GHD have provided me four week accommodation while i find a place to stay aswell relocate my goods down to Melbourne for me. I most likely share an apartment with random people (either honkie or caucasian) and yeah begin a new chapter of my life. I will surely miss my friends in Sydney as well get my ass raped by jenilee as i wont be able to attend the interpol concert with her. Sigh i was really looking forward to the concert.

Anyway before i leave i promise to catch up with everyone and i am kinda leaning toward to travelling around Japan for 2 weeks around jan before i commence work, this all depends if i am cashed up enough. OK enough talk from me and yeah hopefully i be able to catch up with everyone around christmas and parttty till our pants fall down.

Update time.

1. I have moved to Penshurst, i live on Connelly St. So give me a buzz if your around the area. Shire peoples we will catch up once i get my last exam over and done with. I haven't really settled in yet, still alot of unpacked boxes, eii kind of lazy to do it right now.

2. I be going to Cairns next Tuesday for a week with uni friends. Going to be fun fun fun but organizing it is such a bitch, oh well, hope its nice weather up there in Cairns. Lots of activities lined up, looking forward to diving at the great barrier reef and being lazy on the beach.

3. I went to see the killers last night. They were so awesome live, played all my favorite songs including reason unknown, mr bright side and all these thing ive done. We got pretty good seats where everyone stood up through out the concert. Overall it is my favorite concert of all time, the lead singer was just oozing an aura of coolness. We went to pancakes on the rock after the concert, damn the beef ribs were so yummy but the crepe tasted like crap.

I watched Tekkon Kinkreet the other night and the movie is awesome. It is even more strange than Paprika. Anyway rent it out or whatever, its such a fun fun movie to watch.

Oh i also watched The Bourne Ultimatum the other other night, it was a good movie but i got a headache from the chasing scenes due to sitting way to close to the screen. I also watched Die Hard 4 last night and Bruce Willis is so cool and he is just a DILF ...... just kidding.

Anyway enough day dreaming and back to thesis, 3 more weeks of university life.

I am still alive, just been very busy with this thesis project. Sigh my supervisor purchases the wrong membranes and ..... oh well i am trying to stay positive and finger cross i get all my data out and a thesis for my supervisor in four weeks time.

Anyway not much has happen with my life beside work and lab. I think facebook is my new way of keeping up to date with my friends, so add me if you have a facebook account. Went to Chinese Laundry last night , it was an OK club, the music was too trance for me , sigh i would have rather wanna to hang out with Lev & Jlee party thing but i had already promised i would attend Chinese Laundry (damn your last minute organization). I cant make it to Dana party tonight because it Moon Cake festival time again haha.

Jlee and i saw Arctic Monkeys on friday night, they were awesome live on stage. We saw mini Suchy while waiting in line and met this random guy who was taken out by security guards half way through the conversation. I wonder what happen to him.

Overall it was sweaty, lots of jumping and singing DO DOO DOOO DO to the guitar parts.

Next concerts coming up which i will be going; Snow Patrol, Linkin Park and The Killers. HURRRAY FOR BEING UBER BROKE !

Things i did during the winter break ....

- Esther bday party, alot of drunk ppl in my room till 5 am and had to work/meeting the next day at 8 am ;_; .
- Read one novel, The hard-boiled wonder land - Murakami.
- Caught up with Jlee in the city, its always fun to hang out with Jlee and photo-whoring like manics.
- Rock climbing, lots of fun and i really need to work out haha gym is in the back of my mind.
- Saw Transformers (awesome), Harry Potter 5 (i liked it) and Knocked-up (fucken hilarious).
- Got a new camera, Casio Exlim 7.2 MP, its a sexy black camera.
- Did my tax-return, should be getting back $1300.
- Got my results back, abit of pass, credit and distinction.
- Preparing my desalination rig for my thesis project, haha i feel geeky at lab with the ranch in my hand.
- Researching/looking around for a second hand Volkswagen Golf ! I am getting my own car.
- Working on Monday and Tuesday. I got to use this remote control underwater robot camera to view the reservoir walls to see any cement degradation which was very cool.

Finally i am moving out from Kingsford and back down south, mum found a unit in Penshurst. Eh moving is a bitch, i think i be out of Kingsford in 2 months time. Anyway my last semester is starting next week. I am going to enjoy my final semester of uni, next week friday night clubbing at home.

I saw the Play! Video Game Symphony last night and it was awesome despite the horrible freezing weather. Loved every piece of music they played, the best piece was One-Wing Angel from FFVII. Highlights from last night were the special guest they had Akira Yamaokta (Konami producer) who played electric gutair for the Metal Gear Solid piece with his unique-cool outfit and a surprise to see Gary who sat behind us haha small world.

K back to study for the last two exams. I recommend go seeing it !

I just attended my last uni class for semester one, next week is Stuvac. Time to go geek mode and study for the four exams. Tomorrow i think i am watching Shrek 3 with uni gang 1 and Saturday night a belated birthday dinner with uni gang 2 for Gary and i.

Today i did my literature review presentation, this consisted me crapping for 20 minutes followed by 10 minutes of total bullshitting answers back to the markers questions. At one point of replying a clueless question i saw my supervisor eyebrow go wtf, luckily he is a super cool guy and i think the markers fell for it.

Anyway while having lunch today Jon decided to tell me he had a dream about me, the dream consisted of me grabbing his nuts and my death. I can not think of any relation to what grabbing his nuts symbolized beside the random pranks i do to him. In terms of death, i am turning 22 this Thursday and i plan to live alot longer than 22. *touch wood*.

On the topic of dreams it reminded me of the year 10 dream i had. The dream consisted of me in high school and everyone around me was glowing white and then they evolved into freaky looking people, something like Pokemon but more amusing.

All this dream talks reminds me of the movie Paprika, i really enjoyed this movie and the crazy plot and imagination behind it. I recommend renting it out.

I haven updated in a while and i cant seem to focus my self on this literature review right now. Two more months till winter break, i will like to go down to Melbourne for a few days, anyone care to join me for shopping, nike dunk hunt down and photo whoring ?

Anyway the plan to go to 30 seconds to mars was cancel as the tickets were sold out and the ebay prices were ridiculous. Jon and i are kind of disappointed as we were both looking forward to dressing up emo for a night.
Oh yeah on the topic of concert anyone up for the live earth concert on the 7/7 ? , i think it will be a great concert to rock out to and a fun way to show your support to a more eco-friendly future. Hopefully the Sydney line up of bands will be as good as the UK.

Last night we celebrated Jon birthday at Raquel Spanish kitchen. Food and atmosphere was great, the lady finger with chocolate sauce was so yummy, it reminded me of the Hong Kong "oil fry ghost" with soy sauce but sweet version. We got Jon a digital photo frame and iPod silicon case aswell an ice cream cake which was half melted as the lady didn't put it in the freezer , so it turned out to be more like a soup cake.

After dinner , the remaining half of the group went to the club Tank, as the other were party poopers.The music there was mostly trance, i drank alot and got high , danced abit , watched Shann chat up girls and looked after our girls who were sober. While sitting in the booth some random drank guy came in and accidentally bumped all the champaign glasses onto the floor, damn fucken idiot. Overall it was a great escape from reality. Now i have a headache and design project to finish off.

First two days with Sydney Water has been fun, i do alot of the eastern suburb pipe shut down and using fancy computer water programs to monitor the water quality and pressure level. Well the plan for now is to get the two year trainee experience with Sydney Water and then work in the private sector or maybe continue with Sydney Water if a position of interest comes up. It will be great if i get the opportunity to travel to Africa to be part of a project which provides clean drinking water to the poor community.

OK about time i give an update. Currently in my third week of uni and the late night have begun (sigh staying up till 3am). My uni timetable for the first time looks like a commerce student time table, i only attend 2.5 days of uni and the remaining days usually involves thesis research or design project on tamiflu (the production of bird flu vaccine). Sigh i am a nerd.

So around a week ago i went for an interview for Sydney Water, 2 year graduate trainee program, i got a call on wednesday and the HR lady said they want to give me an offer, i was uber hyper happy when the call ended and danced like mad to shakira - hips dont lie. If i do accept the job i will go work at Sydney Water for the days off from uni, they are very flexible with me as the program was designed for uni student. I be working in the strategic operations unit team in water and waste water system.

Tonight was dad birthday, we went to a Macau restaurant in the city with my auntie and uncle. The restaurant was BYO so my uncle (irish white man) and i went to the bottle shop for some red wine. While at the counter the lady gave us a strange look, then my uncle and i realized they probably thought we were some gay couple, my uncle the sugar daddy and me, the venerable asian boy. lol my uncle and i laughed about it while walking back to the restaurant.

I realized i really want to take six months off and travel to Europe and Japan. I also realized it is my dream to be a food critic and travel around the world and one day meet the iron chefs. Oh well , time to catch up with sleep.

For any naruto geeks, the never-ending lame ass fillers have finally ended.
The new series, Naruto: Shippūden will be aired tonight in Japan.

Every year I join the UNSW anime club but i dont bother to show up to any anime screening events, although i live 5 minutes away from uni. I guess I pay the 10 dollars membership fee as charity to support the anime geeks of UNSW. I am weird and i know it.

Anyway chinese new year is this weekend, family dinner on Friday night at Beverly Hills, Saturday is an unsure plan of either hanging out with Donald at the city to soak up atmosphere or continuously watch all the movies I have downloaded. Sunday will be a family yum cha event somewhere in the city with the whole lion dance and fire crackers echoing in your ears until you go deaf.

I just realized work could have been a hell lot more boring without access to the internet. To bad they have blocked access to hotmail, youtube and msn messenger. Anyway back to pretending I am working my ass off for my supervisor.

Back to industrial training after my nine day trip to honkers and one day in Macau. The nine days in honker was great, I caught up with Gary, Andrea and Kenneth on the first day followed by sight seeing, Dr Sun Yat Sen museum and dinner at grandparents on the second day with Gary and Thisby.

I spent a lot of time catching up with Thisby as we promised. We both got haircuts at MK, she spent almost 100 aus dollar on her *mushroom* hair while I spent 20 aus dollar on my *no style* hair. We also did vintage shopping, bumming at various antique cafes, taking stupid photos and lots of random laughing.

Jan, Esther and Aiyun arrived on the fifth day from Singapore and we went to LGF for drinks. I slept over twice at the ymca hostel with the girls due to the subway closing at 1 am. The girls and I went to honkers natural history museum, big buddha, the 360 cable car and honkers Disneyland which was a disappointment. I also went to Macau on the last day which was a memorable experience, I will post my trip to Macau later as we were conned by uncle, the tour guide.

Overall my trip to honkers was fun and time limited, for the first time I was looking forward to coming back to Sydney. Maybe honkers has changed or maybe I miss the open space, clean air and the quick drive to the beach. I have begun to really appreciate what I have in Australia and how much I actually do love Australia and the Australian lifestyle.

Two weeks of industrial training left, which also mean two weeks till I start university. I better make use of the two weeks of freedom I have left. Industrial training has become a lot more interesting as I have finished the PID and now I am measuring the flow rates with the new flow equipment which cost 8000 aus dollar. The flow equipment looks more like a electrifying nipple bondage toy.

NEW YEAR EVE ...

2006 was a steady year. overall i have been a cheerful boy in 2006, people have told me big secrets which makes me feel special, i have learnt to trust people and tell them my secrets and my friendship with everyone has grown stronger which is a wonderful feeling.i look forward to 2007 , the final year of university.

The last night of 2006 was spent at lev and ben place. The night started of at lev where we made penis cookies. i saw tilman and mini lev, they look alike and they are very in-love. after the cookies were baked we were debating who will be the responsible driver for the night. Thankfully agatha volunteer. arriving at ben cocktail party, lev and i started drinking while jlee who was already pissed was playing singstar. The night ended with a refreshing walk to the pier and chatting.

Team fit update, 24 laps and going well. i feel healthy and fit which is a good sign. i am glad i decided to swim during the summer break. surfing on the weekend is also good as i can stay out longer now without feeling exhausted from paddling out.
Industrial training is the same, people often as me if i am viet. I think i have been asked every race in asia through out my life and none of them guess i am hongkong beside hongkong people.
two more weeks till hongkong and macau with jan, esther and aiyun. I need a break, so fricken tired.

REAL WORLD ...

so the past three weeks ive been working on piping diagram work which has been interesting and very repetitive. atleast im getting paid and i got the industrial training , so no complaining here. the supervisor is super nice and tries to explain the million types valves which all look the same to me. oh well i now see myself wanting to work more in the environmental/water side of chemical engineering followed by engineering consulting.

one more year of uni ahead of me and hopefully it will be more industrial then theory programs. work has made me realize i have no social life beside sleep early and go to work with the occasional of hanging out with friends.

FRIDAY ...

i finish my six final exam papers. after the exams i got a hour long hair cut at the korean store *the hairdresser said i have crazy hair roots interlinking all over the place*, passed four seasons of nip/tuck *sweet drama/soft porn* to john, followed by dinner at darling harbor for erica birthday. we had indian food which was super super super overpriced, the only thing i enjoyed was the marinated lambchop, the curry served was like the curry you can get at westfield food court but billion time more expensive. after dinner we went to greenbox and sang till 3am in the morning.

i drove to the industrial training site at condell park , i be working for P&N for three months. i think i will be doing PID diagram and upgrading equipment design, come visit me i can get you free juice i think.

after a long drive, lunch at arthurs with john , lame game of DOTA with john, dinner at some spanish restaurant with john, ester and erica near three monkeys and followed by clubbing at tank near martin place.

ANYWAY ...

starting work on monday *kinda nervous* , back in the shire for the summer and i think i have the car to myself. this summer break i have been inspired to get healthy and fit so i am going to go to sutherland pool twice a week, hopefully some tennis with dana and surfing if i have the time. i got to catch-up with everyone in the shire aswell.

final week of uni

the final week of uni has been extremely hectic , five final reports to hand in with one report worth 85% . havent slept for the past three days ;_; panda eyes. anyway next week will be stuvac followed by two weeks of final exams. after exams i will be starting industrial training during the summer which is compulsory for engineering students. i be going back to hongkong for ten day around late january. i be back in the shire during the summer break as it is closer to industrial training.

k , back to work now.
